Village Green

Village Green is a multi-art form and music festival, produced by Metal Culture in the picturesque grounds of a beautiful Victorian park in Chalkwell, Southend on Sea.

A variety different stages, green spaces, rose gardens, cricket pitches, pathways and marketplaces offer up a pot-pourri of international music acts, theatre, spoken word, poetry, lindy-hop/ fox trot lessons and displays, outdoor arts, circus and cabaret, vintage acts, musical theatre, visual arts, comedy, improvisation, film, workshops and games all set against the backdrop of the enigmatic estuary.

An Open Mic/Live Music night with an acoustic vibe, at The Crooked Billet in Old Leigh, held every Wednesday night. We welcome all levels & genres, provide PA, mics, stands, house cajon & professional photos & video recording

Exact stage times are not advertised as we often don’t have particularly accurate information until a couple of days before the event, sometimes not even until the day of the gig itself! When we do get accurate stage times we try as often as possible to post them on the facebook event on the day of the show. As a general rule of thumb for gigs if doors open at 7.30 you should expect any support bands to be on between around 7.45 and 9pm with the headline band on stage somewhere between 9pm and 9.30pm ending around 10.30 or 11pm
